GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

One of the new schools that were donated by Muchinga Adventures. In the back left is the structure (mud hut) that was the original school. More than 300 children will receive an education as a result of the donated schools.

Every hunting client that books with us is allowing Muchinga Adventures the means to continue to support and fund projects and employment within the local rural communities and provide effective year round wildlife protection. Thank you for your support, it makes all the difference. The Game Management Areas (GMAs) and revenue sharing opportunities from international safari hunting has become a lifeline for remote rural communities with employment, community development and wildlife protection allowing true and long term benefits for the region. In times when international safari hunting activities have not been in place within GMAs this gap has not been filled by alternate sources of revenue or support to uplift thousands of local community livelihoods or protect the wildlife.

Social responsibility, community welfare and resource protection remain a top priority for Muchinga Adventures.

CONSERVATION

Protecting the wildlife and their habitat for current and future generations is at the heart of Muchinga Adventures Ltd’s approach to conservation. Adopting a highly successful anti-poaching program with a grass roots approach to community involvement, the wildlife protection creates employment, skills development and enhanced law enforcement.

Education, with a focus on sustainable utilisation of the wildlife and reducing human-wildlife conflict, has been an integral part of the conservation approach. Donating two rural community schools, empowering the community to employ teachers and sponsoring a soccer league are some of the many aspects making a positive contribution that is vital for encouraging tolerance by communities living with wildlife conflict.
